Cover all repair, and maintenance of Medical Equipment, and manage all external agent Companies that offer repair, maintenance and calibration for Medical Equipments used in the hospital. The Biomedical Engineering Department (BED) governs all special Medical instruments and testing devices used for inspection and testing, as well as tools used as a measure of acceptance criteria including:

• Electronic test
• Calibration
• Maintenance of equipment
• Preventive maintenance
• Repair of equipment
• Safe and efficient operations of equipment
• Safety inspection of all new equipment
• Training of staff for proper handling of the equipment.
